Boston Bruins center David Krejci left Friday night’s game against the St. Louis Blues after colliding with Alex Steen in the second period.

Krejci immediately skated toward the Bruins bench and had to be helped down the tunnel.

Carl Soderberg replaced Krejci on the top line alongside Milan Lucic and Reilly Smith. The Bruins announced later in the second period that Krejci would not return to the game.

Krejci has missed 20 of Boston’s 57 games this season because of injuries.

UPDATE: The Bruins announced via Twitter that Krejci will travel with the team to Chicago for Sunday’s game against the Blackhawks.
