BOSTON — When Joey Bats becomes Joey Glove.

Rusney Castillo smoked a ball toward the bullpens at Fenway Park in the third inning of Saturday’s game between the Boston Red Sox and Toronto Blue Jays. Jose Bautista, known mostly for his offensive prowess, raced back to the wall and made an excellent leaping catch that likely robbed a home run.

Castillo looked stunned by Bautista’s web gem. The low wall in right field at Fenway definitely added some style points to the play, but it still was a great grab by Bautista.

Perhaps the biggest win for Bautista was that he didn’t tumble over the wall, a la Torii Hunter in the 2013 ALCS.
