2015 NHL Free Agency Tracker: T.J. Oshie To Capitals Highlights Day 2

The first day of NHL free agency was a wild one.

Many of the top free agents were signed — several to large-money deals — and a few significant trades also were made, most notably the Pittsburgh Penguins’ acquisition of first-line right winger Phil Kessel from the Toronto Maple Leafs.

After all that, there are still a lot of good free agents still unsigned, as well as many of the top restricted free agents who now can sign an offer sheet with a rival club.

4:50 p.m.: U.S. Olympic hero and Blues winger T.J. Oshie is going to the Capitals in a multi-player trade.

3:50 p.m.: Former Bruins first-round pick Jordan Caron has agreed to terms with the St. Louis Blues.

3:30 p.m.: Jared Knight, whom the Bruins drafted with one of the picks from the Phil Kessel trade, has agreed to terms with the Minnesota Wild.
