LAS VEGAS — Jon Jones dejectedly sat on an MGM Grand stage Thursday morning, just 12 hours after it was revealed he wouldn’t compete in UFC 200 because of a potential doping violation, and the shock still was evident on his face.

Jones fought back his emotions while addressing the media, and he had to leave the stage after just a few minutes to compose himself. When he returned, Jones let his tears flow as he denied multiple times that he had used an illegal substance ahead of his light heavyweight showdown with Daniel Cormier.

After wiping away the tears with a tissue, Jones turned more resolute, saying, “This won’t break me” and “I might seem broken up up here, but I’m not broken.” In all, he fielded questions for almost 20 minutes, flanked by his management team and sometimes pausing for a long period of time before beginning his answers.

NESN.com was on the scene for Jones’ press conference, and you can hear everything he had to say in the Facebook Live videos below.
