Marquis Daniels will miss some time with a wrist and thumb injury, according to The Boston Globe.

The injury is to Daniels' left wrist — not the one he injured last year while with Indiana — and it was aggravated in Sunday's practice.

"It's not broken, though, but it's not getting better and I keep getting hurt in practice and games," Daniels told the Globe. "Hopefully, it shouldn’t be long."

Daniels has been a key contributor off the Celtics bench this season, averaging 5.7 points and 2.1 assists per game. The Celtics are expected to welcome back another bench player in Tony Allen on Tuesday night. Still, Daniels was hopeful he would not be out for very long.

"It's very frustrating," he said. "I don't want to miss any games and practice times, but we're working on the playoffs and the future. … I don’t want to sit out, regardless of the situation. … So hopefully it will just take a couple days."
