Network’s 2010 Spring Training Game Schedule to Feature Nine Games

BOSTON — NESN, New England’s most watched sports network, will expand its Red Sox spring training coverage this year with 15 hours of live programming beginning with an evening edition of Red Sox Spring Break LIVE presented by Jordan's Furniture on Feb. 18, 2010 at 7:00 PM.

Hosted by NESN’s Tom Caron and Peter Gammons, Red Sox Spring Break LIVE will coincide with the team’s on-field workouts, originating from the team’s training complex in Fort Myers, Fla. Each show will feature exclusive interviews with Red Sox players and management and expert commentary from NESN analysts and special guests.

“We are committed to bringing our fans the most comprehensive coverage of the Red Sox in 2010 both on the network and at NESN.com starting with day one of spring training,” said Joel Feld, NESN’s executive vice president of programming and executive producer.  “With the addition of Peter Gammons to our team and by adding three more hours of live television coverage from Fort Myers in February, we plan to give fans even more of an opportunity to experience spring training live as it happens.”

NESN’s nine (9) game spring training broadcast schedule will kick off on Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at 6:00 PM when the Red Sox host Boston College. Don Orsillo and Jerry Remy will team up for their 10th season together in the NESN broadcast booth with Red Sox reporter Heidi Watney joining them for her third season with the network.
