The Providence Bruins agreed to a deal with Vermont Catamounts forward Brian Roloff. Providence signed the UVM senior co-captain to an amateur tryout agreement.
The forward will join the P-Bruins for their final six-game stretch of the season before returning to campus to complete his studies.
Roloff finished third in scoring on the Catamounts, who received an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament. They were knocked out in the first round by Wisconsin, which later advanced to the Frozen Four in Detroit.
The senior had nine goals and 18 assists, playing in all 39 of Vermont’s games.
Nine other Catamounts have played in the AHL this season, and Roloff is the third current UVM player to sign a professional hockey contract this week.
