Tyler Seguin is definitely turning some heads at the Boston Bruins Development Camp this week, and really, was there ever any doubt?

The B's No. 2 draft pick is drawing a big crowd in Wilmington, Mass. — where the camp is held — this week, and the Ontario native's speed and skill are not only garnering the attention of die-hard Bruins fans, but he's also catching the eye of the team's administration

"The stuff that he has, you don't find,'' Bruins general manager Peter Chiarelli said of Seguin, according to Boston.com. "All the things that he has in his whole package, there's not many players that have that.''

While it's exciting that the young prospect is dazzling fans and top administrators alike, it's important to remember that this kid is still just 18 years old, and he still doesn't have a secure roster spot on the team for next season. Even though all signs point to yes, he will be wearing sweater No. 19 come October, he still has to prove himself in training camp with the grizzled veterans, or he's getting shipped back to the OHL.

"My goal is to come into these camps, make an impression, work my hardest, earn a spot, and be an impact player my rookie year,'' Seguin said. "Obviously, if that doesn't work out, I'll be disappointed. But it's just adversity. I have to face it head-on and keep improving in the OHL.''

There's no doubt that Seguin will be tested in training camp with the older players, as he will be thrown in among players with a stronger ice presence and a tougher mindset than the young athlete has seen before. However, Seguin possesses a speed that Chiarelli believes is his best advantage on the ice, and that he can use it to navigate around those gunning against him.

"He pushes the puck at that speed," Chiarelli said. "He's always attacking with speed. That's one of his assets. A tremendous asset.''

With one day left in the development camp, Seguin has just one session left to amaze those in attendance at Ristuccia Arena, if he hasn't left a lasting impression already.
