After one game at second base to give his ailing right shoulder a tiny bit of rest, Marco Scutaro is back at shortstop for the Red Sox as they take on the Tampa Bay Rays on Wednesday.

Scutaro played second for the first time all season in Tuesday's 14-5 loss. He has been bothered by inflammation of his rotator cuff for a month or so, sapping him of arm strength.

While Scutaro and other members of the old guard fill up the top half of the Boston lineup, the bottom half consists largely of youngsters. Ryan Kalish is back in center field after a night off, Josh Reddick gets his first start since being recalled Monday and Lars Anderson will make his second start.

Adrian Beltre, batting fifth, carries a .391 (9-for-23) mark against Rays starter Matt Garza, who is 7-3 lifetime vs. Boston.

Here is the entire Red Sox lineup:

1. Marco Scutaro, SS
2. J.D. Drew, RF
3. Victor Martinez, C
4. David Ortiz, DH
5. Adrian Beltre, 3B
6. Ryan Kalish, CF
7. Josh Reddick, LF
8. Bill Hall, 2B
9. Lars Anderson, 1B
