Providence Bruins coach Rob Murray is happy with how his team has been playing, even with a 2-4-1 record.

“We have not played a poor game,” Murray said. “These guys work their butts off every night.”

Murray cited the team’s strong penalty kill, perfect so far this weekend, as one positive from Friday’s loss to the Albany Devils and Saturday’s overtime loss to the Worcester Sharks.

Murray also talked to reporter Adam Kaufman about his decision to bench Zach Hamill and Jeff Penner.

“They have to earn it,” Murray said. “They need to know they’re not untouchable.”
