Jose Enrique is thinking about his future, and he’s envisioning it somewhere outside of St. James’ Park.

The 25-year-old knows that Liverpool could be looking at him at left back, a prospect Enrique says is flattering.

“It is flattering that Liverpool are interested,” Enrique said, according to ESPNsoccernet. “I’ve also heard that Manchester United and Aston Villa have asked about me. They are big teams and I’m not closing the door on anyone. I’m ambitious and want to play in the Champions League. I want to win things. I’m OK at Newcastle but I aspire to more.”

Enrique said that the club promised that the money received from Liverpool for Andy Carroll will go toward acquiring new players, “But I have been promised things before that have not materialized.”
