Top 10 Third Basemen in MLB Features Kevin Youkilis, Jose Bautista, Casey McGehee

The Red Sox were able to make one of their big offseason moves because they had in Kevin Youkilis a guy who could move to third base, thereby opening up a spot for Adrian Gonzalez.

The Youkilis shift also beefed up a corps of third basemen that is already loaded with veteran talent.

There isn't a lot of youth at the position in the major leagues, aside from Evan Longoria and a few others, but for the most part it is dominated by players who have been on the block for a bit, as well as several guys who have been transplanted from somewhere else, a la Youkilis.
