Jacoby Ellsbury Leading Off, Jed Lowrie Playing Shortstop Against Javier Vazquez, Florida Marlins

JUPITER, Fla. — Jacoby Ellsbury will bat leadoff against former New York Yankees right-hander Javier Vazquez when the Red Sox pay a visit to the Florida Marlins on Thursday.

Ellsbury is 0-for-8 in his career during the regular season vs. Vazquez. David Ortiz, who is batting third, is 9-for-27 (.333) with three homers and five walks against Vazquez.</p?

Ryan Kalish, playing in left field and batting seventh in this one, hit his first major league home run against Vazquez last August in Yankee Stadium.
