Vote: Which Major Pro Sports League Would You Miss Watching Most Because of a Lockout? As yet another week passes without a new collective bargaining agreement, fans and followers of the NFL are becoming more worried that football may not be played next season.

This would not be the first time the NFL has experienced a lockout, as the league saw troubles in 1982 and 1987, where they had to quickly make do with substitute programming and replacement rosters while solving the issues between the players and the league.

Other professional sports leagues have experienced lockouts and strikes as well, causing fan frustration and player-league drama. According to multiple media outlets, an NBA lockout is almost a sure thing as labor negotiations remain stagnant, and many players are securing their contracts before the season ends to ensure their paychecks if there is a lockout.

It wasn't so long ago that we saw both NHL and the MLB go through similar situations, as the NHL cancelled the 2004-05 season, resulting in the first season a Stanley Cup has not been awarded since 1919. The MLB went through leaguewide strike in 1994 that saw the stoppage of approximately 940 games, including the World Series.

It's a constant balance to keep peace between the league and the players, and it's one that sports fans depend on to keep their favorite teams playing year after year. So which pro league would you miss the most if there was a lockout?
