Bruins Will Be Feeling Less Pressure Against Lightning Than They Felt Against Flyers Editor’s note: NESN.com and FOXSportsFlorida.com are teaming up for Across Enemy Lines during the Bruins-Lightning series. FOXSportsFlorida.com’s Paul Kennedy answered our Game 1 questions, which you can read by clicking here, and Douglas Flynn answered their questions.

The Boston Bruins are in the conference finals for the first time since 1992, so you’d think they’d be facing a tremendous amount of pressure heading into this series, right?

Wrong, says NESN.com’s Douglas Flynn.

“I think the Bruins have already faced the most pressure they will encounter in this run with what they dealt with in the past round,” Flynn wrote on FOXSportsFlorida.com. “After a historic collapse last season when they blew a 3-0 series lead and a 3-0 lead in Game 7 against Philadelphia, the Bruins had to face those very same Flyers in the same exact round this year. With constant reminders of their past failure dogging them throughout the series as they built another 3-0 lead, that was pressure. And the Bruins responded and closed out the series in emphatic fashion with a 5-1 win to complete the sweep.”
