Bobby Orr Tops Ray Bourque to Earn All-Time Stanley Cup Playoffs Moment

While the Bruins are seeking to create history this year, the storied franchise has plenty of iconic images to look back on.

Bobby Orr soaring through the air after scoring the game-winning goal for the Bruins in 1970 comes to mind. The famous play has been voted the greatest moment from the Stanley Cup Playoffs of all time, according to NHL.com.

NHL.com listed 64 iconic Stanley Cup Playoff moments in bracket form, urging fans to vote and gradually eliminate moments over the course of this year’s Stanley Cup Playoffs. When all was said and done, Orr’s flight took home the championship, even though his moment was faced off against another iconic Bruins-related moment — Ray Bourque winning the Stanley Cup.
