NBC Sports Group will sell NHL media across all U.S. platforms through 2016, NBC announced Monday.
Media sales for NBC, Versus, NBCSports.com, NHL Network, NHL mobile, NHL.com and all NHL digital sites will be sold by the NBC Sports Group Sales Department, according to a news release. The department will absorb NHL media sales employees, the release states.
All NHL digital traffic will be attributed to NBC Sports Digital.
"Joining forces with NBC enables us to go to the marketplace with unprecedented strength," NHL CEO John Collins said in a statement. "We'll be able to accelerate the growth of our business by providing our sales talent to the strong sales team at NBC, which is already selling the NHL across NBC and Versus."
NBC and NHL reached a 10-year media rights agreement in April.
