Editor's note: Every day leading up to the start of the 2011-12 season, NESN.com will post one fight  from the 2010-11 Bruins season. At the end of each week, fans can vote for what they thought was the best fight of the week, and after every fight has been posted, they can vote on which fight was the best of the year.

In the third fight of Boston’s tilt with Edmonton, Milan Lucic and Jim Vandermeer scrapped in an old-school fight.

Lucic was hit hard on a shot he clearly thought was cheap. Seconds later, he and Vandermeer dropped the gloves. Lucic got in a couple of early, hard shots before Vandermeer responded with a few hooks of his own that hit Lucic squarely.

The Bruins forward connected on some punches of his own and the two tossed several right hooks to end the fight after the refs separated the two.
