Zdeno Chara suffered an injury and Tim Thomas was pulled in a wild game in Columbus.

Chara suffered what appears to be a leg injury after getting tied up with Blue Jackets forward Antoine Vermette. There’s been no update as to the extent of the injury or whether it is, in fact, his leg. The Bruins captain will not return in Saturday’s game, though.

Meanwhile, Tim Thomas was pulled in favor of Tuukka Rask before the start of the third period. Thomas allowed three goals in his two periods of play. The move doesn’t appear to be injury-related, and instead looks to be the result of a coaching decision.
