Bruins Hope to Move on From Loss to Capitals, Set Sights on Tough Penguins MatchupBOSTON — Sometimes, losing isn't the worst thing — it's losing and not learning from it that can keep teams out of the win column.

On Saturday, the Bruins came out slow in the first, faded away in the second and didn't turn it on until it was too late in the third en route to their 4-3 loss to the Capitals at the TD Garden. There won't be any punishing practices (yet), as the B's boarded a plane for Pittsburgh after the loss to get ready for a big game with the Penguins less than 24 hours away on Sunday afternoon.

"You can't dwell on it at all," said defenseman-turned-forward Mike Mottau. "It's over, you turn the page and the good thing is we do play again right away and we can focus on that and get our game back where it needs to be.

"There's really no rest," the B's newcomer added. "You have to find that consistency and bring it every night. Like I said, having a game right away is good after a loss, you don't have time to dwell on it and you get right back out there and put a good game forward."

While the team will be scrapping with the Pens before they know it, head coach Claude Julien believes there are a few quick things they can take from the loss.

"Well, you review your game, you look at the game tape again and you pull out the things you need to get better at and the mistakes that need to be corrected," he explained. "You turn the page and you prepare for the next game. That's why we have a lot of coaches and everybody has a job description and they do their job and we analyze this game [today] and then prepare for the next one."

Day games have been a problem for the B's and it showed on Saturday as the spotted the Caps a quick two-goal lead in the opening frame. They're 4-7-2 in matinees and getting win No. 5 won't be easy in the Steel City.

"We have to turn this around, and realize the way we need to play to come out on top," center Patrice Bergeron said. "It's about [the] start and keeping it going for the whole 60 minutes and [Sunday's] game is not going to get any easier.  We are playing a good team so you know we have to be ready."

They head from Pittsburgh to Florida, where they'll take on Tampa Bay on Tuesday before battling the Panthers on Thursday. While a road trip can spell trouble for some teams, Tim Thomas sees it as an opportunity.

"I mean sometimes the road is good for you and I think the best thing for you to do is approach from that way were a pretty good road time we seem to play better road style and hopefully that's what plays out this week."
