Marty Turco Clears Waivers, Practices With Bruins on Wednesday

Let the Marty Turco era in Boston begin.

Turco cleared waivers on Wednesday and joined his new teammates at practice at Ristuccia Arena in Wilmington, Mass. The netminder was wearing a red helmet and was at the center of the team stretch at center ice, according to Bruins reporter Douglas Flynn.

Turco has 273 career wins and a 2.35 goals-against average in 538 career games played. Turco played in Dallas during his first nine NHL seasons before joining the Blackhawks for the 2010-11 season, where he went 11-11-0-3 with a 3.02 GAA in 27 starts.

The Bruins have yet to make a formal announcement on Turco, who will be unable to play in the postseason because he was added to the team after the NHL trade deadline.
