Danny Ainge, Celtics Must Now Enter Potentially Franchise-Altering OffseasonJust like that, it was over.

The Celtics' run to the Eastern Conference Finals may have seemed improbable in February and March, when it was a fight for Boston just to stay above .500. In the end, though, the C's turned themselves into a legitimate contender to win the East, taking the Miami Heat all the way to seven games, with a lead in the fourth quarter to boot.

It wasn't meant to be, however, as the Heat stormed back and extinguished the Celts' flame. Now Celtics president Danny Ainge has to figure out where the team will go from here, with decisions to be made on players, including Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen and Jeff Green.

No matter what, there's a good chance that next year's team will look a lot different than this year's overachieving bunch.
