Vote: Which Bruin Has the Best Chance Of Taking Home an Award Wednesday Night?Nearly two months of hockey have been played since Joel Ward ended the Boston Bruins attempt at a repeat Stanley Cup Championship with an overtime goal in Game 7 of the Bruins’ opening round series against the Washington Capitals.

While the Bruins aren’t going to be taking home as much hardware at the 2012 NHL Awards Show when compared to a year ago, Zdeno Chara and Patrice Bergeron still hope to make it a lucrative night for the B’s.

Chara is once again nominated for the Norris Trophy, an award he won back in 2009. Nashville’s Shea Weber and Ottawa’s Erik Karlsson are also nominated for the award. Chara and Weber appear to be the frontrunners to take home the hardware.

Meanwhile, Bergeron, who has long flown under the radar as one of the premiere defensive forwards in the NHL, is nominated for the Frank J. Selke Trophy, awarded to the league’s best defensive forward. Pavel Datsyk has won the award three of the past four years and is nominated again this year, while St. Louis’ David Backes has also been nominated. Bergeron’s mastery of the faceoff circle and league-leading plus-36 rating give him a real chance to win the award.

What do you think of Chara and Bergeron’s chances at the 2012 NHL Awards Show? Will one, both or neither take home hardware this year?
