Jets Coach Rex Ryan Plans To Change Mark Sanchez Tattoo (Photo)

New York Jets head coach Rex Ryan told reporters in January 2013 that his arm tattoo of his wife wearing a Mark Sanchez jersey would change if the quarterback didn’t start playing better.

Sanchez was coming off a horrific 2012 season in which he threw 13 touchdown passes and 18 interceptions, leading the Jets to just six wins in 15 games played. Since Sanchez didn’t play in 2013, he technically didn’t have a chance to play better, so the tattoo apparently stayed as is.

Until now.

Ryan told reporters Tuesday at the NFL Annual Meeting that he plans to change the ink after Sanchez was cut from the team earlier this month.

“Guys, the tattoo is still there,” Ryan said, according to USA Today. “I’m not going to say anything about the Sanchez tattoo. It was my tattoo, and it’s still my tattoo.

“I may alter it. Who knows? I’m going to put (No.) 75 on it to honor (former Jets player) Winston Hill. That’s the idea. That’s what I’m going to do.”

Hill was an offensive tackle for the Jets from 1963 to 1976. Ryan’s father, Buddy, was the Jets’ defensive line coach from 1968 to 1975.

While Ryan reportedly still has this thing on his leg, you can check out a shot of what his Sanchez tat looks (looked?) like below.
