The New England Patriots lost plenty of believers after their dismal September.
But one man still believes in Tom Brady and Co.
Skip Bayless of ESPN’s “First Take” wrote a column for ESPN Boston highlighting the reasons why the Patriots will “rise like the phoenix from the ashes of Monday night’s 41-14 loss in Kansas City and land at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, playing in Super Bowl XLIX.”
Bayless, who predicted the Patriots to win the AFC before the season, is sticking to his guns.
“I predicted Seattle over New England in the Super Bowl, and I am loving all the preposterous doom-saying reverberating on TV and radio,” Bayless writes.
Bayless cites a weak AFC East, the return of Brandon Browner and “collective amnesia” as reasons why the Patriots will bounce back. He also maintains a lot of faith that Tom Brady, Rob Gronkowski and the offensive line will somehow rebound, too.
