Tuukka Rask found himself found himself in the line of fire Tuesday night despite not even being in the lineup.
Niklas Svedberg got the nod in net for the Boston Bruins against the Los Angeles Kings, leaving Rask, the Bruins’ usual starting goalie, to watch the game from the bench.
It was far from an uneventful evening for the Finnish netminder, however, as a stray puck hopped the boards and nailed him in the head during the first period.
The impact left a small cut on the top of Rask’s forehead, but being the hockey player he is, he had cleaned up right there on the bench.
A suggestion: Just leave your helmet on for the rest of the night, Tuukka.
