The Boston Bruins earned a 3-0 win with Loui Eriksson out of the lineup Thursday night. But they still want their winger back on the ice as soon as possible.

Eriksson, who has a right hand injury, participated in Friday morning’s practice, but his status remains uncertain for Saturday’s game in Philadelphia against the Flyers, per head coach Claude Julien.

“Obviously better than yesterday, still questionable for tomorrow,” Julien said Friday, via the Boston Globe. “He still has some swelling there, so we’ll see how he progresses tomorrow and make a decision game time.”

Eriksson left in the second period of Wednesday’s game against the Pittsburgh Penguins after getting slashed in the hand by defenseman Robert Bortuzzo. Julien held Eriksson out of the lineup for the first time this season in Thursday’s home win. Reilly Smith replaced Eriksson on the line with Carl Soderberg and Chris Kelly.

Eriksson ranks third on the B’s with 25 points (nine goals, 16 assists) and his +9 rating is tied with Brad Marchand for the team lead.
