Joey Gallo and Kris Bryant both project to be very good players in the major leagues.

Unlike Bryant, though, Gallo wasted literally zero time in showing it.

The Texas Rangers prospect started the season in Double-A but recently was promoted to the bigs, and he made his MLB debut Tuesday against the Chicago White Sox.

So what did he do in his very first at bat? Lace a two-run single to right field, of course.

His second at-bat? Oh, just a 418-foot bomb to right field that plated two more runs.

Gallo smacked a double off the right field wall in his next at-bat and finished the Rangers’ 15-2 win with 4 RBIs, a franchise record for most RBIs in a big-league debut.

Did we mention both of Gallo’s parents were at Globe Life Park to watch the whole thing?

The 21-year-old third baseman clearly has a bright future ahead of him, if not for the sole reason that he grew up in the baseball hotbed that is Las Vegas. Gallo was childhood friends with Bryant and even played Little League with Bryce Harper on what we only can assume was the best U-10 team ever assembled.
