John McCain Has Rough Time With Foul Ball At Diamondbacks Game (Video)

John McCain has accomplished a lot in his lifetime. But apparently there’s one thing he can’t do.

The U.S. senator was in attendance Tuesday for the Arizona Diamondbacks’ contest against the Los Angeles Dodgers at Chase Field. In the seventh inning, Dodgers shortstop Jimmy Rollins fouled off a pop-up that bounced high off the visitors’ dugout — and right toward McCain’s seat.

The former presidential candidate had plenty of time to make the snag, but it just wasn’t in the cards.

The 78-year-old is limited physically due to injuries he suffered as a prisoner of war in the Vietnam War, so we’ll obviously cut him some slack here. Still, we’d be remiss if we didn’t share this amazing photo of the moment disaster struck for McCain.

Unfortunately, McCain’s night only would get worse, as Los Angeles scored three times in the ninth inning en route to a 6-4 win over his home-state D-backs.
