Kansas City has found its own Jeffrey Maier.

The Royals took an early 2-0 lead during Game 6 of the American League Championship on Friday night, thanks to solo home runs by Ben Zobrist and Mike Moustakas off Toronto Blue Jays ace David Price. Zobrist’s homer was a no-doubter, but Moustakas’ wasn’t.

It looked like Moustakas’ home run had just enough on it, but replays showed a fan come dangerously close to interfering with the ball out in right field.

The home run was upheld after review, but that certainly won’t put an end to the controversy.
