The injury bug once again has bitten David Pastrnak.
The Boston Bruins winger was scratched ahead of Wednesday’s game against the Philadelphia Flyers with what the team called an upper body injury. He is considered day to day.
Pastrnak had played in three consecutive games for the Bruins after missing the previous 28 with a fractured foot. The 19-year-old winger scored one goal in those three contests and has three goals and two assists in 13 games this season.
With Pastrnak sidelined, winger Frank Vatrano returned to the Bruins’ lineup Wednesday after a one-game absence. The 21-year-old rookie, who has six goals and one assist in his first 26 games at the NHL level, was a healthy scratch Monday night for the first time in his young career.
Boston also was without center David Krejci and defenseman Adam McQuaid against Philadelphia, both of whom remain on injured reserve with upper body injuries.
