When is a regular baseball cap not enough? When it’s minor league baseball and everyone’s trying to get some attention.
That seems to be thinking for the Columbia Fireflies, the new Class A affiliate for the New York Mets, who on Wednesday unveiled new glow-in-the-dark uniforms.
Because they’re fireflies. Get it?
Anyway, not only will the Fireflies sport the glowing look on their hats, their jerseys also will have the ability to be seen in the rare occasion literally every light in the stadium goes out. So there you go.
If we’re being honest, though, the hats and jerseys do look pretty cool.
