After two full decades, Kobe Bryant finally will close the book on his history with the Boston Celtics.
Bryant will face Boston for the final time Sunday night when his Los Angeles Lakers take on the Celtics at Staples Center. It should be an emotional night for Kobe, but it’s also an important night for Boston, which looks to keep rolling after its historic win Friday night over the Golden State Warriors.
The Celtics are locked in an extremely tight playoff race and can jump to a tie for third place in the NBA’s Eastern Conference by closing out their five-road trip with a win in L.A. They’ll also seek to set the record straight after the Lakers beat Boston in its own gym back on Dec. 30.
