Real or not?

It’s too early to tell if UFC superstar Conor McGregor will fight boxing legend Floyd Mayweather in a boxing match, but the Irishman got fans excited Sunday morning by tweeting what looks like a mock promo poster for a potential McGregor-Mayweather mega-bout.

McGregor would need to lose weight for a boxing fight with Mayweather, but going to a different weight class isn’t new for him. McGregor went up a class in his last UFC fight against Nate Diaz in March, which he lost in surprising fashion.

Mayweather hasn’t fought since last September, when he defeated Andre Berto to improve his career record to 49-0-0. Beating an MMA legend like McGregor and pushing his record to 50-0-0, while getting a huge payday in the process, sounds like something that would interest Mayweather.

But, we’ll have to wait and see if this fight is even possible before getting too excited.
