Hockey fans in the Music City had to wait and wait and wait, but Mike Fisher rewarded their patience early Friday morning.

The Predators evened their second-round Stanley Cup playoff series with the San Jose Sharks when Fisher scored in triple overtime to give Nashville a 4-3 win in Game 4.

You might have caught it in that highlight video, but the best part of Fisher’s goal might have been the Predators’ reaction to (finally) breaking through and winning the game.

When it was all said and done, Fisher’s tally — which ended the longest game of the playoffs this season — came at 1:03 a.m. Central Time, nearly five hours after the puck dropped to begin Game 4, which might explain the issues some players had just climbing over the boards to get on the ice and celebrate.
