The 2016 NBA Draft is underway, and the Boston Celtics have yet to trade the No. 3 overall pick. But that doesn’t mean Trader Danny Ainge isn’t tying.
The Celtics and the Philadelphia 76ers are having last-minute trade talks for the No. 3 pick, according to the Boston Herald’s Steve Bulpett. The potential offer would include Nerlens Noel, the Nos. 24 and 26 picks in the draft and Robert Covington, sources told ESPN’s Marc Stein.
Rumors of a 76ers-Celtics trade have been swirling for a while now, with Noel or Jahlil Okafor as the potential return for Boston. And it appears those rumors still are alive and well.
But that might not be the best offer the Celtics will have.
And ESPN sources say that Boston has been holding out all day for a better offer; Chicago's Jimmy Butler has been HIGH on the Celts' list
