Kevin Durant’s free agency meetings seemingly have been hit or miss.
Durant has met with the incumbent Oklahoma City Thunder, as well as the Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Clippers, San Antonio Spurs and Boston Celtics, in that order, and he plans to meet with the Miami Heat on Sunday.
Durant reportedly was “non-committal” in his meeting with the Warriors on Friday, but “blown away” by what the Clippers had to say. Then Boston pulled a potential trump card by recruiting New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady for a private flight with Durant — in addition to him attending the meeting with the Celtics — in hopes of wooing the former NBA MVP to TD Garden.
For Brady’s part, the four-time Super Bowl champion did very well, according to multiple reports.

Brady active in the Durant meeting. Said someone privy to meeting: "Tom told him what it's like to play in Boston, how special it is."

Durant has been a fan of Brady for quite some time.
While reports have insisted Durant’s decision — which is expected by Monday — purely will be about his best chance to win an NBA championship, speaking to a quarterback who’s beloved in Boston for winning four Super Bowl titles could be very appealing.
