The San Francisco Giants are closing out their first half with a very special performance.
Madison Bumgarner, recently selected to his fourth consecutive All-Star Game, is in the midst of throwing a no-hitter against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
The left-handed ace is through seven innings and has struck out 13 batters with no walks on 94 pitches. The Giants committed an error earlier in the game, so a perfect game is out of the question.
The longest Bumgarner has ever gone with a no-hitter is 7 2/3 innings. He was 9-4 this season with a 2.09 ERA and 132 strikeouts entering Sunday.
