It’s never easy for an NFL running back to return from a knee injury, but it’s more than just a physical recovery.

When New England Patriots running back Dion Lewis is back on the field Sunday for the first time this season, he’ll have to overcome the mental setbacks that come with injuring an ACL, former Patriots tight end Jermaine Wiggins said Saturday on “NESN Sports Today,” presented by People’s United Bank. Wiggins explained that once Lewis makes the initial cuts and runs, though, he should transition back into the game just fine.
