Jaylen Brown isn’t quitting his day job, but he has a nice side gig lined up for Thursday.

The Boston Celtics swingman will speak at Harvard University’s Graduate School of Education on Thursday night, joining associate professor Jal Mehta for a one-on-one discussion as part of the school’s “Askwith Forums” speaker series.

Brown and Mehta will discuss “education, race and institutionalized sport,” as well as “how athletes can use their public voices to advocate for change,” according to the school’s website.

Brown admitted Wednesday night he was “overwhelmed” by Harvard’s invitation, which came via social media after Harvard students read his candid comments on racism in America from a January interview with The Guardian.

“Who wouldn’t be intrigued by that?” Brown said after Boston’s win over the Charlotte Hornets, via ESPN.com. “Harvard only asks a select few people to come give a lecture or come speak at Harvard. I think the last person they had was like Cornel West or Colin Powell. So, it’s a pleasure to be able to speak in front of a crowd like that at a prestigious university such as Harvard.”

The 21-year-old long has been drawn to Boston’s institutions of higher learning, even mentioning a desire to continue his education at either Harvard or MIT shortly after the Celtics drafted him in 2016.

Brown will get a taste of academia at Thursday night’s event, which actually will be live streamed YouTube beginning at 5:30 p.m. ET. You can follow along with the video below.
