We are all witnesses to a bizarre prank gone wrong on University of Central Florida’s campus.
A UCF building was evacuated Wednesday after man wearing a LeBron James Miami Heat jersey stood up in a classroom and tossed a white powder in the air. According to a student, the man yelled, “I’m taking my talents elsewhere. I’m going to Miami,” as he threw the powder.
Witnesses say the suspect is wearing this jersey. He is described as a 6'2, white male with blonde hair.

The man seemed to be mimicking James’ famous pregame routine, in which he tosses chalk into the air at the scorers’ table before tip-off.
Campus police later confirmed the substance was baby powder, but the building was evacuated nonetheless. UCF police chief Richard Beary said the school chose to act with extra caution.
“We had an individual throw powder in one of the classrooms,” Beary said, via News 6 Orlando. “We think it was going to be some type of stunt, like a LeBron James stunt, but unfortunately with the current threat situation the way it is our fire partners said we needed to treat it as a hazmat situation.”
UCF police issued a statement Wednesday night saying they had identified two people involved with the incident: the powder-tosser and another man who filmed the episode.
As for James himself, the school felt an apology was in order.
Sorry bout your mentions, @KingJames.
