Alex Cora has had a pretty successful four years playing baseball at the University of Miami, but is it possible one of his coolest experiences happened to come off the field?

You be the judge.

As a freshman infielder in Coral Gables, Cora had the chance to go one-on-one with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. On PlayStation, that is.

“I played PlayStation with “The Rock” my freshman year,” Cora told reporters Monday, via WEEI.com’s Rob Bradford. “We went to his room on a day where the freshmen had to stay the dorms, and we were playing. Ten years later, he’s like a superstar.”

Cora and Johnson both attended the University of Miami in 1994. At that point, Johnson already had established himself as a notable athlete on campus, playing on the 1991 National Champion Hurricanes football team.

Cora would go on to rival “The Rock’s” college fame, however, eventually being inducted into the University of Miami Athletic Hall Of Fame.
