Tim Schaller plays a physical brand of hockey, and his aggressiveness found the Boston Bruins forward in a bit of fisticuffs Saturday night at TD Garden.

During the first period of Game 2 of Boston’s first-round Stanley Cup playoff series against the Toronto Maple Leafs, Schaller laid a massive hit on Leafs star right wing Mitch Marner. Marner clearly was hobbled by the check, which prompted Ron Hainsey to approach Schaller and a scrap to ensue.

You can watch Schaller and Hainsey square off here.

It’s safe to say it was a productive opening 20 minutes for the B’s, as they scored four goals and chased Toronto’s starting goaltender Frederik Andersen in the process.
