We’re well into the NFL offseason, and Rob Gronkowski still has yet to make a decision regarding his NFL future.

While recent reports indicate Gronkowski is “pretty certain” he’ll return to the New England Patriots for the 2018 season, we’ve yet to hear from the star tight end himself.

For one former Patriots star, the uncertainty surrounding Gronkowski becomes more and more of a concern as the days goes by. During a Monday appearance on ESPN’s “First Take,” Tedy Bruschi explained why he’s a bit worried by Gronk still having not made a definitive decision on his football future.

“He has been all-in throughout his entire career, so this does concern me that he has not made a decision up until this point,” the Bruschi said. “We’re in April now. Offseason programs are about to start. Of course, they’re going to want Gronkowski in the building, so he has to decide if he wants to be all-in still. This does worry me somewhat.”

As Bruschi referenced, Patriots head coach Bill Belichick reportedly is unclear whether Gronkowski is “all in” for the upcoming campaign. The Belichick-Gronkowski dynamic has become an interesting new wrinkle in the tight end’s saga, as the two reportedly have grown frustrated with each other for various reasons. And if Gronk is expecting Belichick to appease his desires, he might not want to hold his breath.

“This man will not change,” Bruschi said. “Bill Belichick will not change his approach or how he treats players.”

So, if Gronkowski does decide to return to New England, it sounds like he’ll have to return to abiding by the “Patriot Way.”
