Tuesday was an extremely important day.

Aug. 18 is the 100th anniversary of the ratification of the 19th amendment, which gave women the right to vote.

In honor of the momentous day, the Boston Red Sox had 19 service women virtually toss a first pitch ahead of the squad's series-opening matchup with the Philadelphia Phillies.
