The James Harden saga appears far from over.

The Rockets star reportedly wanted out of Houston to play with the Brooklyn Nets. Harden even took his time showing up to training camp, but he did play in Houston's 112-98 preseason win over the San Antonio Spurs on Tuesday.

Harden's name has been thrown around in trade rumors for the last few weeks, and now it appears the Rockets are looking outside of his preferred teams, which were the Brooklyn Nets and Philadelphia 76ers.

The Athletic's Shams Charania reported Thursday that Philadelphia star Ben Simmons had been included in trade packages for Harden, too.

While Charania noted that talks aren't fluid, that could change at any minute. And if the 76ers want a player of Harden's caliber, he won't come cheap and will likely need a big name in the deal to get something done.
