The Boston Red Sox have struggled against the AL East all season.

Boston was unable to overcome the first-place New York Yankees, losing 7-6 in extra innings.

The Red Sox are now 6-8 against the Yankees this season as the starters have a 6.93 ERA in the 14 games.
