Red Sox’s Luis Urías Hits Grand Slam In Back-To-Back Games

Urías leads Red Sox in RBI for August after two grand slams

The Red Sox went 7-3 in their last 10 games, including back-to-back wins over the New York Yankees.

Boston’s offense has been rolling thanks in part to major contributions from second baseman Luis Urías, who hit a grand slam in consecutive plate appearances. Urías hit his first grand slam against the Washington Nationals on Thursday, with his second coming in the second inning Saturday against the Yankees’ Gerrit Cole.

Urías is the first Red Sox player to knock back a grand slam in consecutive games since Jimmie Foxx in 1940.
