It’s been an eventful year for Tom Brady, and that will continue with an interesting panel scheduled a month before he makes his FOX Sports debut.

Fanatics Fest NYC announced Wednesday that Stephen A. Smith and Brady will team up for an Aug. 16 panel. “True Grit with Tom Brady hosted by Stephen A. Smith” will be held at the festival’s main stage, and according to a press release via Awful Announcing, the panel is advertised as “a no-holds-barred exchange” that “promises a candid, unscripted conversation that will delve into the biggest topics in sports and beyond.”

The “fireside chat” will chronicle Brady’s and Smith’s paths in the sports media landscape as they balance life outside of their businesses.

Smith has interviewed the New England Patriots Hall of Famer on his personal podcast, but it will be a rare sight of an ESPN personality and a FOX broadcaster on stage together. It’s also interesting for Brady given his negative reaction to his Netflix special that delved into topics the retired quarterback didn’t seem comfortable with at moments. It’ll be fascinating to see how deep Smith goes in his conversation with Brady.
