T-Swift reportedly will be at Arrowhead Stadium to support Travis Kelce
The NFL’s favorite love story will continue Thursday night when the Kansas City Chiefs kick off their Super Bowl title defense against the Baltimore Ravens.
Taylor Swift plans to attend the Chiefs’ 2024 season opener, a source briefed on the security arrangements at Arrowhead Stadium told The Athletic, continuing a trend that began in 2023 when the pop star started dating Kansas City tight end Travis Kelce.
This shouldn’t come as a huge surprise. Swift frequently attended Chiefs games last season, even traveling from a show in Tokyo to Las Vegas to watch Kansas City defeat the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LVIII at Allegiant Stadium. Plus, she just wrapped up the European leg of her highly popular Eras Tour. So, she’s got some downtime.
It’s notable, nonetheless. The Swift-Kelce relationship has taken the sports and pop-culture worlds by storm ever since the two became an item. It’s nice to see their romance continue to flourish as the Chiefs return to the gridiron for a new NFL campaign.
Kelce, who turns 35 next month, is entering his 12th season with the Chiefs. He’s one of the most decorated tight ends in league history and just signed a two-year contract extension with Kansas City that runs through 2025.
Swift is scheduled to return to the stage on Nov. 14 at Rogers Centre. As such, we conceivably could see quite a bit of her over the NFL’s first couple of months.
